The UNSW Women in Engineering Scholarships Program aims to encourage and assist female students commencing studies in the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW.
By applying for the UNSW Women in Engineering Scholarships Program you may be considered for the following scholarships. More scholarships may be added to this list progressively.

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or double degree) in one of the following degree programs:

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or double degree) in any School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering degree program.

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or double degree) in a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering offered by the School of Electrical Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria in addition to the program requirements listed above:- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen; and
- Have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period; and
- Be a woman, non-binary or gender-diverse student
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:- Academic Merit
- Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
- Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
- Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of Engineering

Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted.
Interviews
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview on the 22nd of November 2023.

Value and Duration
$15,000 per annum for the minimum duration of your program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be a woman, non-binary or gender-diverse student
- Have completed the HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB in Australia (excluding NSW) in the year prior to commencing at UNSW
- Be commencing full-time undergraduate study in a Faculty of Engineering program (single or double, excluding Law)
